100 Best Communities
Being chosen as one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People is truly an honor for Springfield-Greene County. We celebrate the many good things in place for our children (I.e. world class libraries, nationally recognized parks system, worldwide winning safe kids coalition). However, part of the reason for receiving the award is because we do not stick-our-heads in-the-sand and pretend that we live in utopia. We acknowledge that there are problems in our community, but we work together to figure out how to improve outcomes. What better example of community collaboration than the success of the crisis nursery, Isabel’s House. |
